Happy Pinktober 15th! The third Friday in October of each year has been declared Pinktober Day, and is an opportunity for the Orlando community to increase awareness of breast cancer. Today, many members of our team at Appleton Creative donned our favorite pink attire to show our support for Breast Cancer Awareness month.
Approximately 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. As the most common cancer among women in America, breast cancer is an increasing heath threat and is the leading cause of cancer-related death in women 35-50. However, it is estimated that this mortality rate could decrease by 30% if every woman over the age of 50 was able to have a mammogram. Increasing awareness can change the life of someone you know.
Appleton is proud to support this cause, and looked good doing it!
